Things to do while you're in Martinborough

There are many activities available in Martinborough and the Wairarapa district, however the one we are most famous for is our wine tasting! Tours can be arranged, or you can drive or use our complimentary bicycles to enjoy at your leisure.

There’s an 18 hole golf course, antique stores, a variety of amazing restaurants and café’s, tennis courts, trout and sea fishing, diving and surfing, horse trekking, "To the Coast with the Post", clay bird shooting, garden tours, glow worm caves, Cape Palliser seal colony, and the Pukaha Mt Bruce wildlife centre (home of the White Kiwi and friendly Kakas) only a short trip away. You can also visit the well-known Putangirau Pinnacles and experience stunning walks.

Martinborough is also famous for Toast Martinborough that happens in November every year and Martinborough fairs that soak up the town in February and March.
There are Jazz festivals, Concerts, Round the Vines and Farmers Markets!
We also have our very own Martinborough Brewery for those craft beer lovers.

We have brochures available, or for more up-to-date information on what is happening – you can contact the Martinborough iSite Visitor Centre (06-306 5010).
